What Can Be Recycled

In 2017 the waste and recycling industry has experienced a major change of acceptable material at recycling facilities. Processers have established a stricter policy for clean recyclables with very little or no contaminates allowed. All loads brought to recycling processing facilities now require less than 1% contamination. When trash is mixed with in recycling it can cause an entire load to be contaminated. Contaminated recycling loads will then need to be dumped as trash at the landfill instead of recycled, spoiling the efforts of many who recycle properly. Please be sure to recycle only the items listed below.

Items acceptable for recycling are generally containers used for household products and food storage containers. In order to be sure not to contaminate your recyclables, a good rule is “when in doubt throw it out”. If you have any question please feel free to contact us.
